Security

DreamNAS does not replace NAS security.

A better access path still needs strong accounts, updated software, and careful exposure.

Protect NAS login

Use strong passwords, avoid reused credentials, and enable 2FA where available.

Avoid default admin accounts

Create separate accounts for remote access and limit permissions.

Use HTTPS only

Do not expose unencrypted NAS login portals.

Keep systems updated

Keep NAS firmware, container apps, and web portals current.

Do not submit secrets

DreamNAS onboarding does not need NAS admin passwords or secret tokens.
